Loadman Street Housing Development
Alonside the Riverside Dene programme, development at the nearby Loadman Street site will bring about a significant number of new homes in one of the first major new build schemes in the west of the city in a number of years. The redevelopment of the retail offer and wider environment will have a positive impact on the area and help create a demand for the quality housing.
Elswick Strategic Corridors
These strategic corridors will significantly upgrade connections between the amenities and employment opportunities in the city centre and the residential areas of Elswick and the wider West End of Newcastle. We will carry out environmental improvements to Elswick Road and Westmorland Road, the two main east-west routes through the area. This work, along with other interventions, will make adjacent sites more attractive and viable to potential evelopment, creating increased prospects for more employment and housing.
